The purpose of this note is to outline our thoughts on the R&R and engagement sessions during our valuable time in Udaipur. This plan aims to ensure that everyone has access to it and to achieve a balanced and optimal engagement and entertainment package that meets the tastes, expectations, and aspirations of the majority. We then intend to implement this plan with a broader audience and stakeholders.
Our goal for this reunion is to foster a relaxed, free-flowing environment that encourages spontaneous interactions rather than a structured, corporate-style event. We aim to minimize formal speeches and presentations, keeping the focus on informal conversations and smaller group interactions within the larger gathering. While we do have some group activities planned, such as Rajasthani folk dances and other engaging events, we believe this balance is perfect for our group.
For the morning breakfast and lunch sessions, participants are free to dress however they like. However, for the evening events and dinners, we propose themed dress codes to enhance the vibe and create some great photo opportunities:
We encourage everyone, including the ladies, to embrace ethnic attire of their choice. Gentlemen may opt for traditional outfits like Kurta Pyjama, Dhoti Kurta, Jodhpurs, or Awami Pathani suits. Ladies can choose from Salwar Suits, Saris, Chania Cholis, or other colorful ethnic wear. To add to the fun, we’re arranging for someone to help tie Safas or Pagdis for the gentlemen, transforming the event into a vibrant celebration of Indian culture.
This evening is dedicated to the profession that brought us together. Gentlemen are requested to wear a uniform consisting of a white half-sleeve shirt with flaps for epaulets, black trousers, a black belt, black shoes, and black socks. If your shirt doesn’t have flaps, don’t worry – we’ll provide jury-rigged flaps with safety pins!
We’ll also centrally procure a Captain’s Peak Cap, branded with TS Rajendra, along with epaulets and a name tag for the gentlemen. Please bring the rest of the outfit with you – a white half-sleeve shirt, black trousers, a black belt, and black shoes should be easy to manage.
For the ladies, we recommend their best black outfit, whether it’s a sari, gown, suit, or little black dress (LBD). Just imagine how striking the photos will be from this evening!
This will be a casual and relaxed night. Gentlemen are asked to wear indigo denim and a black reunion-branded T-shirt. Ladies are invited to wear a red dress of their choice, with the red reunion-branded T-shirt being a welcome option.
Our intent is to create lasting memories through these moments together. And don’t stress if you can’t follow the dress code exactly – this is an informal, personal gathering above all.
Day wise thematic plan for the said three evenings will be as follows:

With almost 100 (Gentlemen and Ladies counted together) of us being there, you can well imagine that there will be 100 high-end phones clicking pictures at all times. However, in order to capture them professionally, a photographer has been hired for all three days and the formal Group picture will be taken on the evening of the 21st. We are also trying to make a branded banner and a selfie point for us to take beautiful pictures for posterity. A new website has also been created where all these pictures will be uploaded, and access will be provided for everyone to upload, view, and download any/all pictures. Therefore, watch out and be at your best at all times because some camera or the other will be relentlessly clicking.
Our arrangement with the Resort is that any withdrawals and cancellations up to today will be accommodated by them, and any new entrants in the same resort will also be accommodated on any vacancy that may arise due to cancellation. While we are at Udaipur, our means of communication with respect to activities at the site, group meetings, and other local issues will continue to be the existing WhatsApp group named “TUB Accounts/Coordination Reunion,” which is working well as such. Ladies can be added to this group nearer the time.
You have been well advised time and again that Rs. 5000 cash per batch mate is to be contributed by each Gentleman to take care of the sundry expenses. Four lads amongst us have been nominated to collect this Rs. 5000 cash from each one of us and deposit the sum with the Orgcom for the smooth conduct of all activities. While some of us have already given this Rs. 5000 to their focal points, it is requested that all others pay up this Rs. 5000 to their contact point first thing when they arrive at the venue, if not done earlier. They can also do so while checking in to the hotel.
Gents, this is not a conducted tour run by a tour operator who takes it as a business to make money. This is being organized by a few folks amongst us working in the Organizing Committee, who are giving their own valuable time, efforts, and energy for the cause of the greater good. Your cooperation is therefore not only recommended but also solicited. A word of gratitude and appreciation for all the lads who have put in the hard yards in this run-up, sacrificing their personal time and effort for the cause of our fraternity, will be appreciated!
We are excited and so are you, hopefully.
Looking forward to meeting up with our brothers after 43 years, and many of us will meet each other for the first time since Rajendra after a gap of 43 years! So help us, Lord.
